The thing is finally nearing completion

The backpack group has gotten a lot done over the past few days. I've got some more shots from Spring Break and hope to be able to post more from this week at some point in the future. This week has seen the final attachment of the front cover sections and today should be the day we attach the frame, Jon and I plan on getting that done with a vengeance. Mainly because we don't want to worry about it any more. Without further bluster here are the other pics:

Here I am checking the end of a side piece.
Perhaps I be measuring something...
Ok, I am definitely measuring something.
Getting ready to saw.
And now I'm sawing.
Lining things up to make sure they'll fit.
Jon, Rickey and I making a test fit. (Jen is the photog)
Me applying glue, it didn;t smell too bad either :)
The major bracing: pre-planning.
Corner brackets, saved us they did.
I just like the way this shot looks, good job Jen!
Another of me wearing the frame.
Measuring out where the rest of the brackets go.
The inside, looks like crap but it works.
Getting a corner all set.
Some tools, nuts and bolts.
Ooooooohh! It's all together! Yay!
And now it's attacking me! Help me Ali!
No, we were just seeing how it would look and where it should sit when someone is wearing it.

That is all or now folks, check back later for more backpack making goodness.
